Solution Session: Making College and Career Training Accessible
Currently, only about 45% of low-income Denver students seek to obtain a post-secondary degree or certificate. Organizations like Prosperity Denver Fund have innovative solutions to change that statistic.
Join us for our next Solution Session on Thursday, October 10th from 9-11:30am! In collaboration with Prosperity Denver Fund, our next Solution Session will highlight the importance of post-secondary education and the gaps in access. We will hear from three of Prosperity Denver Fund’s partner organizations to learn about their creative approaches to making post-secondary education more accessible for Denver’s aspiring and current college students.
The Organizations:
Prodigy Ventures: Through personal development and hands-on learning in a Prodigy enterprise, young adults build a foundation of mindsets and skills for sustainable lives, economic mobility and, most importantly, to go forth and enrich their city.
Denver Scholarship Foundation: DSF collaborates with Denver Public Schools (DPS) high school students, families, and partners statewide to increase access and completion of post-high school learning and expand generational exposure to career and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Puksta Foundation: The Puksta Foundation promotes civic engagement among students at five of Colorado’s top universities by offering scholarships to students ready to get involved in causes on and beyond their campuses.
