Brian Labra Vergara
A Denver native and an alum of one of Prosperity Denver Fund’s Supported Organizations, The Challenge Foundation, Brian Labra Vergara, BLV, is a recent graduate from Skidmore College receiving a Bachelor’s of Science with honors in Studio Art, minoring in Business/Management as well as being the first student at Skidmore to graduate with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Brian practiced digital media and studied art history abroad in London, UK at the University of Westminster. In collaboration with The John B. Moore Documentary Department, Brian founded his own creative firm, The Artkive, a marketing firm whose mission is to support the creative practice, story, and business of entrepreneurial artists through narrative story-telling and media
engagement. He has recently finished his first fellowship at the MDOCS Storyteller’s Institute, a unique opportunity to have a focused period of dedicated time to develop a non-fiction project, with the inspiration of a community who are pursuing similar questions and ideas in the beautiful setting of Saratoga Springs, NY. An educated and creative scholar thanks to the support of many organizations like, The Challenge Foundation, Brian plans on using his creative talents and corporate experience to support the work of the Prosperity Denver Fund, working as a Program Support Specialist, as well as attend his first residency at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO, in early August.
